诗开首第一句是“servers”，矬人以突然而歇斯底里的一个下定义的手法，让人不容置疑相信他的这句话，是最真实的，是发自矬人内心世界的嘶嚎。而第二句说“game servers”，多出了一个修饰词"game"，在不经意间抛出一个小小的诱饵：是矬人本人所研究的游戏servers，并不似普通的滋滋作响的闷骚服务器，给了读者一丝生的希望。想像矬人受累于thesis，想起以往自由自在的随性，game在这里已包含着整个自由的渴盼在里边；到了第一节最后一句“distributed game server”则再次提出并强化深刻了主题的枯燥研究性质，一下便掐断了game所赋予的一小片希望，使读者坠入更深层的绝望之中。
