Reminiscence, body and selves
——On post-modernity in The Catcher in Rye
Abstract: the characteristics of post-modernity in The Catcher in Rye are as the following: Holden established his own concept of instantaneity-time by denying the concept of inreversible linearity-time, and achieved his self-identity in his reminiscence to the past; with the rouse of body consciousness, Holden discovered his internal selves based on the corporality to build his unique aesthetic character.
